Welcome To Journey To Recovery

Our mission has been formed to create a quality of care in a recovery and sobriety source for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population within the City of Philadelphia and its surrounding counties (Bucks, Delaware, Chester and Montgomery).

“Journey to Recovery, Inc.”(“Journey”) has been formed to address the needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, since it has been founded that this population has been unserved in the areas of recovery and sobriety.  “Journey” has been formed to ensure that all deaf and hard of hearing people will be treated fairly and with the utmost dignity in their efforts to live a clean, sober and quality of life, in order that they, and their families, will be able to see the joy in living in abundance, free from any substances that would hinder them from attaining that goal.

“Journey” will provide quality services and referrals for the deaf and hard of hearing community, that will ultimately result in the same quality of care that has been afforded to the hearing population within the City of Philadelphia.  These services will be given with no language barriers for this population.  Any services or care required, our clients will be able to participate in the entire recovery process with the support and assistance from all personnel of “Journey to Recovery, Inc.” in partnership with the S.T.O.P. Program (Sobriety through Outpatient).

“Journey” will also offer assistance in emergency placements for Drug and Alcohol Abuse treatment centers/hospitals that offer In-patient care, if needed.  After-care services will be included in our referral process.

Our Mission is to enable the deaf and hard of hearing community to seek help in their desire for recovery and sobriety,  knowing that all language barriers and deaf culture barriers that presently exist in other care facilities are no longer a hindrance to their recovery.  “Journey’s mission will ultimately result in quality care in the lives of the deaf and hard of hearing community as they journey to recovery.
